Our History
J Chipperfield and Sons is a family-owned and operated company with over 340 years of history and operation. Chipperfield's have been entertaining the public since at least the reign of King Charles the second.
There is a record of the Thames freezing over in 1683, and Chipperfield's were open on the Thames at the frost fair.
This great tradition dates back over 340 years, and we are proud to continue it.
Today J Chipperfield & Sons are established on the South Coast offering a wide range of attractions for the public to enjoy.
